Electric fires have many energy saving benefits which not only save you money but will reduce your carbon emissions as well.

Unlike a gas fire the "flames" on an electric fire can be used independently of the heat, so you can still enjoy the cosiness of the flames on dark mild evenings or when the central heating is on, without overheating and for only a few pence per hour.

When you do require heating, most models feature 1kw or 2 kw settings and some even with thermostats for maximum comfort & efficiency. All electric fires are 100% efficient at point of use as no heat is wasted up a chimney or flue.

Selected fires now feature LED lamps to further reduce running costs over conventional bulbs.

Most of these inset fires are designed to fit into a standard 16" x 22" opening. Most have the choice of coal or pebble effect approximately 1.5m of cable with a fitted plug ready to plug straight in. If you don't wish to inset the fire you can on most models purchase a spacer which will make the fire free stand.

Basket Fires

These decorative fuel effect electric baskets all come with the choice or real coal or pebble fuel effects. The warming glow from these fire will make a fireplace, simply place in situ and plug in. Most of these baskets are used for real fires then an electric bowl is fitted inside the grate. Please note that to use the heater the cover must be removed.

If you have an old basket but wish to convert it to electric it is possible with our made to measure service. Please bring your old basket (clean) in store so we can take a template for a quotation

Hole in the wall

All of these fires require a hole to be made for the depth of the fire to sit into. Some of the fires are available with spacer kits which allow them to be wall hung.

THE LOMAX SUITE
